Creating a blog in Joomla!


The word "blog" means different things in different environments. Rsphaeroides provided excellent instructions regarding how to build a Joomla! "blog-styled page." But, frequently when people ask about blog capabilities, they are talking about using Joomla! in the "blogisphere" as a way to communicate with others (i.e., like WordPress or Google's Blogger).

If that is what you meant then the *best* instructions you will find IMO are on Compass Design's website. In this article, Barrie North talks about using Joomla! and specific extensions to build an excellent blogging engine complete with comments, trackbacks, pingbacks, syndication, email notification, and search capabilities.
